As market insight manager, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, product characteristics, and competitive landscape in the global proteomics market, providing actionable insights to drive business strategy and decision-making. Work closely with product marketing, market development, sales, product development, and senior management to inform and guide business plans. Utilize data and market development trends and forward-looking perspectives to develop meaningful insights and strategic recommendations, thereby bringing a competitive advantage to Quantum-Si.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Consult with internal stakeholders to define research needs and address complex business problems.
  • Develop and execute a strategic research roadmap, competitive analysis, and industry benchmarking to deliver high-quality, actionable insights that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders including marketing, sales, R&D, and other teams to ensure comprehensive research support.
  • Oversee and manage multiple large-scale research studies from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timely delivery.
  • Respond to ad-hoc market and competitive research requests by analyzing data from credible sources, and create actionable reports and presentations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Manage third-party vendors, including budget approvals and allocations, to ensure efficient resource use and maximum return on investment.
  • Build and sustain relationships with industry experts and analyst firms to provide credible external perspectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on market and competitive trends, keeping stakeholders informed of relevant updates.
  • Transform market insights into customer and portfolio strategies and influence business programs in collaboration with the commercial team.
  • Lead the evaluation of market messaging rooted in research to launch new value props or evolve current solutions through cross-functional partnerships
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to drive innovation.
  • Craft and deliver executive-level presentations to visualize and socialize information with clarity

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life-Sciences, or related field
  • 7+ years in roles such as market intelligence analyst, industry research analyst, corporate strategy, management consultant, or similar positions demanding strategic industry/business analysis and executive-level communication.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with strong analytical skills to interpret and derive insights from complex data sets, driven by high intellectual curiosity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey insights in a clear and easily digestible manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of communicating research findings and strategic guidance to senior leadership.
  • Ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful executive-ready recommendations and action plan

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):

  • Master’s degree in business preferred.
  • Ability to work in our San Diego office on a full-time basis.
  • Background in life-science, proteomics or genomics is preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence alignment and foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, even without direct authority.

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $120,000 - $145,000 Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position, an individual’s skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
