The Global Procurement team is investing in resources both to support the team growth and anticipated growth in spend. The Chief Procurement Officer has set a vision to build a procurement capability that acts as a competitive advantage to Regeneron and evolve the interpersonal structure to focus the team on end-to-end category accountability and invest in appropriate category leadership, including further development of our center of excellence and establishing an international markets procurement team. The global Procurement team will be structured with category teams having end to end accountability for category management, sourcing, Vendor Maintenance, and supplier relationship management for assigned categories. These category teams will be enabled by procurement colleagues in an expanded Center of Excellence, an International Markets team, and a Capability Center all accountable for driving consistency and efficiency.

The Senior Manager – Vendor Maintenance Global Procurement Capability Center in Bengaluru will be responsible for implementation and leadership of a new team within the newly formed Capability Center to enable delivery of Global Procurement responsibilities at Regeneron. The role will be responsible for leading a team of professionals focused on delivery of Vendor Maintenance capabilities supporting global procurement.

This is a key leadership role which will report to the Director of the Global Procurement Capability Center and will be a member of the Global Procurement Capability Center leadership team.

In this role typical day might include performing the following:

  • Accountable for leadership of a team of vendor maintenance specialists, delivering supplier onboarding and data maintenance activities in support of Global Procurement Operations Team

  • Reliably integrates, collaborates and coordinates vendor maintenance activities, priorities, and efficient ways of working within the global vendor maintenance team

  • Work with stakeholders in Global Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Treasury to ensure the accurate and timely onboarding and maintenance of key supplier contacts and banking details for all suppliers globally.

  • Ability to supervise all aspects of onboarding and editing of supplier records through integration to Oracle

  • Development of standard methodologies and processes for Vendor Maintenance within Global Procurement

  • Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.

  • Leads Vendor Maintenance activities to ensure compliance with appropriate company policies, SOX/Finance and Audit controls, and applicable country specific banking rules/regulations

  • Provides leadership in setting group goals/objectives

  • Leads team of professional employees responsible for performing vendor maintenance tasks

  • Able to prioritize and handle workload across the team

  • Provides coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports and provides leadership example for the organisation.

  • Experience optimally leading teams, manging processes, and driving continuous improvement activities

  • Builds influential relationships with customers to get results for Regeneron.

  • Provide guide insight and knowledge regarding effective and compliant vendor maintenance and banking activities to protect Regeneron and enable pipeline delivery

  • Individual who is experienced operating with integrity, focus, and detail oriented in a fast pace/high pressure environment.

  • Experience leading professionals in a multi-national firm including writing performance reviews, setting annual objectives, coaching, and developing direct reports.

  • Solid understanding of tools used within Vendor Maintenance such as ERP’s(Oracle Preferred), Supplier Portals(Zycus supplier), Internal Revenue Service and Other Banking validation websites.

  • Ability to demonstrate standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
