Reporting to the Services Delivery Manager, (Performance, Alerting, & Observability), the Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of the IOPS IT server and infrastructure environments. The Site Reliability Engineer will be a key player in ensuring the stability and operating efficiency of the IOPS IT infrastructure, while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, a typical day may include the following:

  • Monitoring and maintaining Windows Server environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Managing and configuring virtualized environments, including virtual machines, storage, and networking.
  • Identifying and resolving issues, ensuring high availability and security of network resources.
  • Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence of incidents.
  • Documenting processes, procedures, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and training.
  • Ensuring compliance with GMP standards in all relevant processes and systems.
  • Implementing and managing change control processes to maintain system integrity and compliance.

  • A unique blend of system engineering and IT operations skills, including a strong background in Windows Servers, Virtualization and Cloud (AWS & Oracle).

In order to be considered for this position, you must hold a BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Principal Site Reliability Engineer: 8+ years of relevant experience with data center technologies including VMWare, NetApp, and Dell EMC storage, and backup solutions or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Staff Site Reliability Engineer: 10+ years of relevant experience with data center technologies including VMWare, NetApp, and Dell EMC storage, and backup solutions or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in system administration, network engineering, or a related role desired.
  • Experience working in a GMP environment and ensuring compliance with relevant standards preferred.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash plus indows Server administration and troubleshooting are a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, VCP, CCNA) are a plus.
