The Position

Job Scope

The Portfolio Strategic Lead (PSL) is responsible to coach and support the Integrated Strategic leads (ISL) in arriving at the correct portfolio prioritization decisions. PSL is also able to function in an affiliate leadership role, ensuring clear and timely feedback for all PODs leads. You will relentlessly focus on a portfolio mindset across all PODs in arriving at appropriate investment decisions liberating PODs to deliver their respective and collective ambitions.

Main responsibilities

-An inspirational leader who can create a compelling vision where diverse technical disciplines can align and develop to pursue the organization’s outcome.

-Develop, adapt and oversee the execution of the TA strategies to ensure that the different functions can respond with the skills and capabilities to address key challenges and objectives of the portfolio on behalf of the organization.

-Ensure cross functional collaboration with other Enabling Team (ET) members; sharing leadership with ET; Country GM to achieve affiliate goals by following the agreed values and behaviors.

-Allocate functional expertise and resources to internal teams to enable clear and impactful communication plans and engagement strategies to be embedded into team strategies.

-Represent their function in resourcing discussions and facilitating resource planning/sharing across different functions to ensure each POD is fully resourced to meet demands of the organization now and the future.

-Involvement in POD and POD work (Affiliate or others) and Global activities, as required

-Lead the strategies of the current and future portfolio in collaboration with different functions within the enabling team.

Education, Experience and Skills

-Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences , Masters Degree is a plus..

-Over 10 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry or relevant commercial, customer, patient experience.

-Strong experience and proven knowledge in the relevant field and customer segment.

-Experience in commercial, medical and access environment

-Experienced in Integrated roles (Medical, Marketing and Access)

-Deep understanding of the healthcare system, processes, and governance.

-Fluent in written and spoken English

-Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas and alternatives to the Ecosystem

-Stakeholders and other involved parties.

-Credibility in the subject area and potential to become a mentor/expert for other employees.

-Energetic and inspired view on the work, ability to inspire fellow Ecosystem members.

-Desire and ability to work in an atmosphere of trust and transparency

-Openness to new (other people’s) ideas and desire to co-develop them together with the team.

-Willingness to roll up one’s sleeves and work and study outside the comfort zone.

-Creative leadership profile.

-High ability to influence and network across boundaries.
