This person will be expected to establish and execute the marketing strategy for the Digital Pathology portfolio in Spain, and support the transition of the entire organization towards the commercialization and monetization of digital solutions.

Your mission is to guide the product journey, maintaining a deep understanding of innovations and communications within the market. You will leverage in-depth product knowledge, from core functions to clinical indications, to ensure that Roche's offerings are clearly positioned against the competition. Through targeted collaboration and technical expertise, you will improve the effectiveness of commercial networks, leading to informed product strategies and increased market presence.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of market trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape of digital pathology solutions in the Spanish healthcare space (with a focus in pathology laboratories and oncology medical community as key customers).

  • Develop the local strategy for commercialization of the digital patholgoy global portfolio, as well as the marketing plan and tactics - defining priorities and timings in alignment with the global marketing plan and regional commercial priorities.

  • Market awareness and communication: Keep abreast of the latest developments and publications, communities of practice (CoP) and other essential communications within the EMEA-LATAM Region fields related to the products in question.

  • Product mastery: Have a thorough understanding of product features, clinical applications and competitive advantages. Identify strengths and weaknesses against competitors, shaping product strategies, positioning and tactics accordingly. Capture customer and market feedback and communicate any proposed product improvements to global teams.

  • Generate impactful and differentiated value propositions for the Spanish market, leveraging global content.

  • Documentation and support materials: Adapt or source technical/commercial documentation, source supporting literature and provide comprehensive materials to help understand and promote the product. This includes regular review and quality control of all materials before uploading to the content management systems, as well as all materials published online (website, emails, etc.).

  • Regulatory surveillance and quality collaboration: play a key role in the product surveillance process, working in collaboration with the quality and registration departments to maintain standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Commercial and tender support: Provide robust support for commercial-technical issues, including product-specific training, detailed product explanations for selected strategic customers, assistance with product-related queries in tenders (in collaboration with customer service for highly technical questions), competitive assessments and management of unique queries not previously documented.

  • Continuous learning and product competence: Commit to continuous personal training to master new product features and keep up to date on existing product solutions, ensuring that in-depth knowledge and expertise is maintained.

  • Product Care responsibility: the Product Lead, while having operational support from product specialists, is ultimately responsible for end-to-end product preparation in internal systems (stock management, product substitution, catalogue management, tender documentation and pricing).

  • Where applicable: Support to the clinician sales network: guide the clinician sales network through regular updates, materials, sales pitches, scientific sessions and interactions with key opinion leaders (KOLs), specifically for products that require demand-driven promotions.

Who you are:

  • Capacity to “go deep” in the technical understanding of digital products and combine that with an in-depth knowledge of customer needs and commercial environment. Experience in the development and/or product management of Digital Pathology solutions is a plus.

  • Preferably 4+ years of demonstrated prior experience in Marketing or Business Development/Sales with experience in designing and executing innovative marketing strategies and business models; as well as launching and monetizing digital solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge of the engineering and/or science behind the portfolio under your responsibility is required. Bachelor's or Master's degree or previous on-the-job experience supporting proficiency in Pathology or Digital Solutions

  • Extensive understanding of product functionalities, clinical indications and market positioning, and the ability to translate these into impactful messages for the sales team.

  • Good marketing skills, with autonomy to design and execute product-focused marketing strategies and tactics.

  • Effective communication and training skills, especially in sales force training and interaction with KOLs.

  • Good analytical and strategic planning skills.

  • Must be fluent in Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in english
