We are looking for a proactive and motivated Procurement Manager to join our team at SPT Labtech.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Strategic Procurement Management:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

Process Implementation and Improvement:

  • Design, implement, and optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead initiatives to standardize procurement activities across the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of procurement processes and suppliers and implement improvements as needed to meet both operational and regulatory requirements.

Data Analytics and Reporting:

  • Utilise data analytics to drive decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement performance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, trends, and performance metrics to senior management.

Financial Acumen:

  • Manage the procurement budget and ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Analyse financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate financial risks.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve the best value for the company.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Senior Buyers and Buyers.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews to encourage a high performing culture, providing regular feedback with a focus on continuous improvement.

Skills & Attributes

You will have:

  • Process orientation with experience in implementing procurement processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and the ability to create, interpret, and manipulate complex data sets.
  • High-level competency in working with and within an MRP/ERP system.
  • Excellent financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost analysis.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks in an agile environment working to sometimes tight deadlines.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The essentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM, CIPS) is preferred.
  • Ideally 5+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 3+ years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in a life science or medical device manufacturing, or other regulated industry is highly desirable.
