Internship Development Transport Costs Model
Syngenta
In Action
As an intern, you will work on developing a uniform transport cost model for Syngenta Flowers. You will:
- Map out the current situation of transport costs and freight charges
- Analyze pros and cons of existing methods
- Develop a proposal for a new, uniform pricing structure
- Validate the proposed model with historical data
- Present recommendations including an implementation plan
The Challenge
You will help us create a transparent, fair, and easy-to-explain transport cost model. The current system is complex and non-uniform, with different cost structures for carriers and incomplete charge-through to customers. Your goal is to develop a model that can pass on all transport costs and is fixed at the time a customer places an order.

With a rich history of innovation and sustainability, we strive to enrich the horticultural and floriculture sector with beautiful, resilient and sustainable products.
