Job Description

About the role:

The Training and Instructional Design Specialist II develops, and implements training solutions with an emphasis on e-learning and instructional videos. You will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Business Process Owners (BPOs), and the Learning Management System (LMS) team to identify training needs and create learning experiences. The specialist will design high-quality e-learning modules and instructional videos, using the latest technologies and methodologies to enhance learning outcomes.

Additionally, you will lead a video club aimed at improving video production skills within the team and across the site. The specialist will ensure training solutions are developed following Takeda’s policies, procedures, standards and support the continuous improvement of training programs. You will report to a Training Instructional Design Lead in Social Circle, GA.

How you will contribute:

Collaborate with Training Consultants on job task, training gap analysis and remediation

Create training courses/materials (specifically eLearning) and instructional training videos

Improve existing training courses/materials

Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions on developed and revised courses/materials

Lead the video club to enhance video production skills, techniques and video quality

Research and implement learning tools

What You Bring to Takeda:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology with 5+ years of experience in instructional design, with a focus on eLearning course development and video production.

Demonstrated expertise in developing interactive eLearning courses for diverse audiences, using advanced authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate.

Proficient in creating high-quality instructional training videos, including scriptwriting, filming, editing, and post-production, using industry-standard software like Adobe Premiere Pro and Camtasia.

Experience integrating multimedia elements such as animations, simulations, and interactive modules into instructional materials to increase learner engagement and retention, ensuring a dynamic and immersive learning experience.

Experienced in managing the end-to-end instructional design process, from needs analysis and content development to implementation and evaluation, coordinating with teams and partners to stay on time and within budget.

Profound knowledge of instructional design theories, adult learning principles, and best practices, with an ability to apply strategies to create impactful and learner-centered training solutions.

Collaborate with subject matter experts, partners, and team members to gather requirements, provide feedback, and ensure agreement on project goals, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Committed to staying up to date with latest trends in instructional design, eLearning technologies, and educational research, looking for professional development opportunities to enhance skills, expand knowledge, and inspire creativity in learning design practices.

Proficient in conducting quality assurance checks and formative evaluations of instructional materials, soliciting feedback from learners and partners, and implementing data-driven improvements to enhance the effectiveness of learning solutions.

Troubleshoot technical issues, and overcome challenges, displaying creativity in identifying problems and solutions.

Provide guidance, and feedback to team members and individuals interested training development to help foster collaboration and professional development.

Involved in complex problem resolution; Use techniques to resolve business problems with focus on compliance and risk in all solutions. Experience in a matrixed environment is required.

Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Camtasia).

Project management skills.

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. You may:

  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
  • Work in a cold, wet environment.
  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours.
  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.

For Location:

USA - GA - Social Circle - Hwy 278

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$67,900.00 - $106,700.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
