Job Description

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • Monthly Reporting Cycle: Manages the consolidation of Cloud Performance Reporting for Global DD&T. Develops accurate and timely financial information and advises on ongoing improvements to enable more accurate reporting. Submits the monthly reporting deck and aligns official numbers within the global reporting systems (CFOiuP) and the Consumption Services Team.
  • Advise/Encourage: Serve as an encouraging advisor across the global technology team by providing visibility to operating costs and total cost of ownership in order to enable enterprise cloud consumers to accomplish their objectives in a cost-effective manner
  • Budget Planning Cycle: Support the end to end planning cycle through provision of planning inputs, ad-hoc reporting, group alignment and other general tasks. Manage the consolidation and submission of Budget Transfers to Group Reporting.
  • Collaboration across the team: This role collaborates closely with counterparts across Global DD&T Finance, Senior Stakeholders, Application Owners and Application Teams to ensure clear visibility into operational and project budgets, forecasts, and actual performance. It is also critical that this role builds strong relationships from which further value and tasks can be added to the team.
  • Develop and Enhance the existing Reporting process: Learn in detail the reporting tools of Cloud costs, share learnings across the team and understand how and where these tools can better support the business for self-service reporting. Collaborate with the Global DD&T Finance team to understand the reporting needs across the whole team, manage the backlog for the team and establish a delivery plan for continuous improvement.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor and help enhance current processes for budgetary cost estimation of new and changed applications, partner with the Cloud FinOps team to build budget for products and functions and provide transparency of spend vs. Budget and forecasts.
  • Help drive Global technology adherence to cloud cost management using the FinOps model
  • Collaboratively brainstorm and help implement appropriate controls and streamlined processes to provide budgetary discipline surrounding actual cloud consumption.
  • Learn and grow in how to identify and drive cost containment and cost avoidance opportunities, both centrally for the cloud platform team and on a consultative basis with application owners, product owners, and relevant technology leaders.
  • Help build out the reporting material for regular monthly/quarterly reviews with Leadership, Cloud Platform Steering and Executive Steering functions as required; provide insight into cloud spending / Total Cost of Ownership and unit cost by product and application.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Cloud Services to drive cost-saving technology optimizations with Application Owners and Business Partners
  • Issue of the Monthly reporting cycle calender.
  • Capture and consolidate the Global DD&T FBPs/App Owner monthly commentary, and challenge for completeness

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Essential

  • Bachelor degree or higher
  • Preferred 3-4 years work experience in Cloud or other technology services or Finance
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with desire to drive business impacts
  • Strong computer software skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Consitently demonstrates good communication skills and collaboration
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Change readiness and ability to adapt quickly to priority changes.
  • Proven ability to be proactive, resourceful and problem solver
  • Ability and willingness to take on additional projects and initiatives as the need arises
