Job Description

About the role:

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) business unit by collaborating closely with senior leadership to define and execute a forward-thinking business strategy for Takeda’s product portfolio that aligns with Takeda’s therapeutic area focus, Corporate Philosophy and Corporate Strategy. You will be part of the Leadership Team for the Strategy and Business Excellence global function and will lead a team of 8+ Product Operations Leads responsible for supporting marketed products from Takeda’s overall product portfolio.

How you will contribute:

  • Partner with colleagues in the commercial units, GMS and Global Quality and in R&D to support Product Strategy and Lifecycle management for the Products

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute a manufacturing and supply strategy aligned with Takeda’s therapeutic focus and corporate strategy.

  • Partner with Global Operating Units (OpUs), regulatory, and commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of product supply strategies

  • Ensure brand strategies are executable from a global supply perspective with an emphasis on meeting defined quality, compliance, financial, and customer service expectations, track COGs and influence targets

  • Lead supply network strategies, risk assessments, and mitigation efforts for product manufacturing and distribution, while ensuring alignment with financial targets, lifecycle project budgets, and long-term product supply plans

  • Develop and implement comprehensive global lifecycle plans for marketed products, updating regularly based on market and financial factors

  • Lead and develop a Product Operations Team, focusing on decision-making, portfolio strategy, and cross-functional processes

What you bring to Takeda:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biological sciences, or pharmacy; additional MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry, with program/project management experience

  • Experience in leading multicultural, cross-functional teams and complex program efforts

  • Possessing a holistic understanding of our industry, from R&D to Process Development, Operations, Regulatory, Commercial

  • Expertise in global supply chain planning, manufacturing, and regulatory operations; detailed understanding of Commercial operations

  • Preferably knowledge/experience working with diverse pharmaceutical products from areas such as solid dosage, small molecules, API, plasma purification, cell and gene therapy, etc…

  • Willingness to travel, fluency in English and advanced influencing skills are necessary for this role

  • An intrinsic understanding of putting Patients first and unyielding drive to enhance their well-being

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$252,000.00 - $396,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
