Job Description
About the role:
You will help develop a new facility to bring Takeda additional capacity for coordinating shipping, receiving and material transfer throughout the facility; receive Covington and Round Lake raw materials for our manufacturing partners; Perform and verify multiple tasks associated with daily operations in our warehouse.
Also responsible for Operations in Plasma which include receipt of plasma units and support in the disposition and transfer of Plasma using the Automated Plasma Dispositioning System (APDS).
You will provide support to Plasma and Ambient warehouse operations using JD Edwards (JDE) inventory management system. You will also be responsible for simultaneous assigned tasks and demonstrate effectiveness in task accuracy and completion, decision-making and problem-solving in a team-oriented environment. Assist Supervisor in obtaining maximum efficiency and productivity in Warehouse and Plasma Operations. You will report to a Manager Supply Chain in Social Circle, GA.
How you will contribute:
- Direct carrier drivers upon reporting. Assigns trailers scheduled to be unloaded or loaded at specific times through warehouse management systems.
- Assist supervisor in resolving discrepancies between production and warehouse concerning inventory counts and other problems encountered.
- Resolve any discrepancies between shipper’s packing list and quantities received before being entered into warehouse management system.
- Prepare all documents and physical assignments necessary for shift to perform productively daily.
- Notify logistics departments of equipment shortages or other related issues.
- Complete bill of lading, packing list, seal assignment, and bar code assignments for each order.
- Cross trains and assists with back up clerks.
- Provide leadership to enhance performance of department and take charge in the absence of the Supervisor and Warehouse Lead.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Support all local Manufacturing Plasma Operations.
- Receive physically and electronically plasma shipments.
- Main responsibility is the Automated and Manual Disposition of plasma units
- Help with the Staging of Disposition plasma to be delivered to production.
- Segregate questionable plasma units found in any area of the +5°C area and -20°C area to be process as “On Hold” or “Quarantine” status.
- Operate material handling equipment (such as forklifts and pallet-jack)
- Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines and operate in compliance with FDA, OSHA, and MSDS.
- Participate on Continuous Improvement Teams.
- Perform daily cleaning of the production area to maintain in GMP fashion.
- Participate in both departmental projects and any quality working teams which may be applicable.
- Keep an updated record of training, including new revision on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and any other training that is required for the department.
What You Bring to Takeda:
- Requires a HS Diploma and minimum 4+ years of related experience.
- 5+ years of warehouse and/or technical office experience required.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems and pc environments.
- Can operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
Important Considerations
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. You may:
- May wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and other clean room garments daily. This may include safety shoes, safety glasses, aprons, face shields, lab coats, full body gowns, hair nets and gloves and hearing protection.
- Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
- Work in a cold, wet environment.
- Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
- Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

$22.55 - $35.43The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
