Job Description
About the role:
The Logistics Business Analyst is responsible for the storage and movement of materials and finished goods. This role ensures efficient shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control, contributing to the smooth operation of Takeda's supply chain.
How you will contribute:
* Manage shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and finished goods
* Optimize warehouse layouts and implement lean management principles to improve efficiency
* Analyze transportation costs and develop cost-effective transport schedules, methods, and routes
* Coordinate customs clearances and permits to ensure compliance with regulations
* Evaluate and manage relationships with external transport providers
* Utilize computer-aided design tools to plan and execute distribution strategies
* Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless execution of strategies
What you bring to Takeda:
* Designs warehouse layouts with proficiency in AutoCAD, optimizing space and efficiency
* Applies lean management principles to streamline warehouse processes and improve flow efficiency
* Utilizes computer-aided design tools to plan and execute distribution strategies
* Analyzes warehouse operations to identify and implement improvements
* Collaborates effectively with team members to ensure strategies are executed seamlessly
* Evaluates data and situations using standard methodologies to make informed decisions
* Understands industry practices and applies them to enhance distribution processes
* Transitions academic knowledge to professional environments effectively
* Builds and maintains internal relationships to foster a collaborative work environment
* Demonstrates a growing understanding of distribution and logistics through practical application
* Engages in continuous learning to enhance professional skills and industry knowledge
* Contributes to team efforts by sharing knowledge and insights
As an entry-level professional, you will tackle challenges within a focused and manageable scope. Your role is pivotal in applying core theories and concepts to practical scenarios, reflecting a seamless transition from academic excellence to professional application. You will harness standard methodologies to evaluate situations and data, cultivating a budding understanding of industry practices. Typically, this role requires a bachelor or college degree or the equivalent professional experience. Your role is characterized by growth and learning, while your journey within Takeda will evolve, fostering valuable internal relationships.
