The opportunity
You will lead India's R&D organization, developing and overseeing its strategy and execution. In this role, you will partner with India's R&D leaders and R&D global leaders to develop R&D India foundations, evolve the culture, ensure compliance, and constantly improve our brand. A strategic thinker who will coordinate governance, continuous improvement, performance management, relationship management, and communications matters for the R&D organization in India. This position will build a network and expertise in a thriving professional development and teamwork environment.
How you’ll spend your day
- A deep understanding of the Indian social and business culture.
- Oversee all R&D activities in India, ensuring alignment with global R&D strategies and objectives.
- Manage relationships with local leaders and employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with global leaders to ensure seamless integration of R&D activities across region.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Promote and uphold company values and behaviors, driving a culture of innovation, psychological safety, and excellence.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance R&D capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor and report on R&D performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Your experience and qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior R&D leadership role, preferably within a global organization.
- Strong understanding of R&D processes and best practices, including a good understanding of the drug development process.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience working in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Knowledge of the Indian regulatory landscape and industry standards.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to drive change and foster a culture of compliance and innovation.
