About the role:
Teva Ukraine is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Government Relations to lead our efforts in advocating for the company's interests in the public and political arena. This is a crucial role that involves developing and implementing innovative strategies to increase government awareness of our product portfolio and ensuring effective engagement with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, Ukrainian legislation, and strong experience in managing government relations within regulated industries.
How you’ll spend your day:
• Providing legal support to all company functions/departments and ensuring they are aligned with the company’s internal policies and rules priorities, business strategies, and local legal regulations;
• Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and ensure the appropriate stakeholders are informed and appropriate actions are taken;
• Documenting legal processes and work output in legal knowledge management tools;
• Support wholesale distribution models, as well as pharmacy chains and terms of cooperation, marketing activities, marketing and promotion business models, patient assistance programs, sponsorship, interactions with HCP/НСО and other;
• Providing legal input and support to all relevant internal partners (including but not limiting to contract law, corporate law, labor law, tax, HR, IT, regulatory, commercial and marketing, pharma law etc.);
• Providing legal advice and resolving appropriate actions/ processes in line with local strategy, local legal trends, legislation changes (marketing, tender, sales, commercial, regulatory, relationships with HCPs, martial law etc.);
• Handling matters and litigation (legislative matters, antibribery, unfair competition and anti trust, debt collections);
• Reviewing and approve promotion materials (including promotions and advertisement, training documents, communications etc.);
• Reviewing, coordinating and preparing different types of agreements, including, but not limited to supply agreement, marketing services agreements, lease agreements, service agreements etc;
• Provide regular legal training for employees;
• Represent Company during inspections, investigations and in litigation matters.
Your experience and qualifications:
• University degree in law;
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian;
• Minimum 5 years qualification experience required: ideally gained within a healthcare/ pharmaceutical environment and/or FMCG;
• Proven ability to work independently and together with the team;
• Proven track-record in negotiations, contract drafting and advisory;
• Ability to learn new skills as well as the willingness to learn and following through on tasks;
• Highly collaborative and curious mentality with a “can do” approach;
• Ability to work hard and spend time well Main areas of expertise and competencies: pharma law, antitrust and competition, unfair competition, advertising law, civil and commercial law etc.
