Job Description

Position Summary:

This is an exceptional opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., a leading company in the scientific industry. As the Global Process Owner Manager in our expanding Shared Services division, you will be responsible for driving optimal process design efforts for the Record to Report (RTR) workstream. Working closely with teams from Accounting Operations, Compliance, IT, and other departments, you will contribute to the smooth functioning of our processes and help improve productivity targets through your expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the end-to-end process taxonomy for Record to Report
  • Partner with workstream leaders to drive sustainable process improvements aligned with our business strategy
  • Establish and maintain an appropriate accounting control environment within our Shared Services Operations
  • Participate in the Productivity Governance Program to drive continuous improvement
  • Drive global deployment and adoption of standard end-to-end processes across Shared Service Centers
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure proper training on processes, policies, and systems
  • Support the design and enhancement of Enabling Technology, standardizing processes across platforms
  • Identify and assess business requirements, seeking process simplification and standardization opportunities
  • Supervise and convey process design to involved parties
  • Assist in stabilizing the process after implementation and address any requested changes.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
  • Foster a highly collaborative environment, bringing together resources and inputs to meet organizational needs

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of progressive work experience in finance or accounting, with 3-5 years in a Shared Service structure
  • Energetic and forward-thinking leader with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to analyze information and evaluate its impact on the business.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with technology teams and external vendors on significant projects.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to facilitate change and interact with senior management
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintaining motivation throughout projects
  • Developing effective partnerships and offering a strategic perspective to drive success.
