Are you an ambitious and proven Information Technology professional looking for a unique opportunity to develop and innovate? Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a skilled AI Software Engineer, to join our world-class team in Carlsbad.

As an AI Innovation Engineer, you will contribute to developing and implementing AI solutions that enhance productivity and drive revenue. You will collaborate with global business teams to integrate generative AI technologies into our business processes, ensuring that our solutions are scalable, efficient, and impactful.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop AI Solutions: Create innovative applications using generative AI technologies to solve complex business problems and improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with Diverse Teams Across the Globe: Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Implement and Optimize Models: Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models, including large language models (LLMs), to enhance various business operations.
  • Leverage Cloud Technologies: work with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS to build, deploy, and manage AI solutions, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Database Management: Work with databases including Oracle Postgres and Microsoft SQL to store, retrieve, and analyze data efficiently.
  • Develop Interactive Applications: Use Python, Streamlit, and Javascript to create user-friendly interfaces and tools that facilitate the adoption of AI solutions across the company.
  • Version Control and Collaboration: interact with Github for version control, code reviews, and collaborative development to maintain high-quality codebases.
  • Stay Updated with New Technologies: Continuously explore and evaluate new AI technologies and methodologies to ensure that our solutions remain at the forefront of innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • An understanding of cloud computing technologies, software development, data management, and infrastructure
  • A strong passion and interest in generative AI and related technologies
  • A minimum of 1 relevant certifications in AI, machine learning, cloud platforms, or database management.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $66,000.00–$109,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
