How will you make an impact?

The Instruments Sales Representative provides sales expertise and account management leading all selling and commercial activities within existing markets for the Product Inspection Product Line within the Production Process and Analytics (PPA) business unit of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) and will report to the EMEA Sales Manager Product Inspection. This Instruments Sales Representative maintains effective customer relations, develops opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts.

What will you do?

  • Achieve forecasted sales goals for territory, supporting external partners and/or selling directly to customers.
  • Provide support and assistance to customers, OEM’s, engineering firms and partners that will improve long-term business results and relationships.
  • Meet and exceed customer requirements including overall communication, responsiveness, cost awareness and scheduling sensitivities.
  • Maintain and continue to develop an outstanding knowledge of our products and their applications.
  • Select, train, and motivate Independent Sales Organizations (ISO), e.g. agents, channel partners, etc to optimize achievement of our sales goals via their efforts.
  • Coordinate sales activities with other territories, product lines and the inside sales team.

Attend local and international trade shows, conferences and exhibitions

  • Provide forecasts, weekly reports, marketing intelligence and information to supervisor and other company personnel as the need arises. Utilize Salesforce.com daily by updating and adding notes, customer information, etc.
  • Available to travel overnight approximately 50% of time.
  • Report sales data optimally through CRM (SFDC) and other tools.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Solid technical background - Bachelor’s degree in technical sciences preferred.

Experience

  • 3+ years of sales experience, preferred in industrial (packaging) equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Languages: French and English: business fluent other languages are welcome)
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, SFDC and the internet
  • Organizational skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Proven commercial excellence working in a matrix environment.
