Job Description
Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated data engineering manager to drive our data initiatives and support our supply chain management team. As data engineering manager for supply chain, you will be responsible for design, develop, and maintain our data infrastructure. Your work will be pivotal in optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring data integrity, and enabling informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support supply chain analytics.
- Collaborate with supply chain partners to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Work closely with multi-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and IT, to integrate data solutions.
- Monitor performance and solve issues within the data infrastructure.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data sources and platforms.
- Drive initiatives to improve data accessibility and usability for supply chain decision-makers.
- Implement best practices in data engineering, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.
- Stay ahead with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our data engineering practices.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in quantitative fields, e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 6+ years demonstrable experience in data engineering, with a focus on supply chain management.
- Proven track record of leading successful data engineering projects.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other data pipeline tools.
- Good experience with ERP (SAP, Oracle) and knowledge of data warehousing solutions like AWS, etc.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
- Good command of English & Mandarin.
