Job Title: Manager, Sales

Vertical: Pharma

Reports To: Sr. Commercial Manager Latam - MBD

Location: São Paulo, Brazil

Position Summary:

The Manager, Sales role at Thermo Fisher Scientific is an exceptionally outstanding opportunity to drive growth and innovation within our Microbiology Division.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow profitable sales within the Pharma market.
  • Motivate and develop the sales team to consistently achieve desired results.
  • Understand customer requirements, opportunities, and competition in the Pharma market.
  • Identify and implement new distributor opportunities to expand brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage service, supply chain, and budgetary requirements.
  • Work closely with marketing to increase MBD market awareness.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, conduct trend analysis, and drive achievement.
  • Maintain effective relationships with customer departments.
  • Meet annual sales and gross margin targets while adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Identify new key accounts and manage key opinion leaders.
  • Keep account receivables under control.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Submit required reports and manage distributor accounts.

Success Profile

Education & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration or similar field.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel (50-75%).
  • High proficiency in Excel.
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written.
  • Full and current driving license.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven consistency, precision, and listening skills.
  • Desire to continuously improve and take on new responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage demanding and stressful situations.
  • Previous experience in a life sciences company.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of Sales Management experience, with at least 3 years in the Pharma industry.
  • Experience in strategic change management and knowledge management.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic business plans.
  • Proven ability to operate independently with initiative and good business judgment.
