Job Description
We are looking for a Lead Gelatin Formulation Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for strictly adhering to quality and safety standards in the manufacturing sector.

Nights // 7:00pm - 7:00am (2-2-3 schedule)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the gelatin formulation process, ensuring flawless execution of production tasks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to determine production needs and prioritize resources efficiently.
- Implement and maintain strict adherence to safety and quality protocols.
- Monitor and document production metrics, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to uphold our world-class standards.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Two years of production experience, preferably in gelatin, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences and to make entries in logbooks and check sheets.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, safety rules, and operational procedures.
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and reports, as well as understand and implement management directives.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, and the use of fractions and decimals.
- Ability to apply concepts such as percentages and ratios to practical situations.
- Ability to interpret bar graphs and compute rates and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but straightforward instructions.
- Ability to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments and simple hand tools.
- Strong project management skills, including planning and coordination.
- Ability to follow management and supervisory directives diligently.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, and perform overhead lifting.
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
Work Environment
- Exposure to mechanical equipment and varying moisture levels.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
- Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements (lab coat, safety glasses, etc.).
Special Requirements
- Must meet applicable DEA security clearance requirements.
