The Senior Sales Operations Analyst is a critical member of the Customer Demand Management (CDM) team within the Material and Structural Analysis Division at Thermo Fisher Scientific. This role is responsible for business planning and revenue risk management, collaborating closely with Business Units, Finance, Operations, and Commercial leadership teams. The Senior Sales Operations Analyst will optimize revenue plans and manage revenue risks by analyzing customer demand and factory capacity, preparing scenarios, and ensuring data-driven decision-making.
A Day in the life
Lead global revenue risk management and business planning efforts.
Represent the commercial team in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
Optimize revenue and manage risks by collaborating with the commercial team to prioritize deals that align with the revenue plan.
Work closely with teams in the USA, LATAM, and APAC regions.
Compile revenue risk profiles and report findings to executive leadership.
Drive continuous improvement in business processes and systems.
Keys to Success
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience
5-10 years of experience with Business Planning processes (e.g., S&OP, Revenue Management & Reporting).
Experience in change management, with the ability to lead in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated strong business acumen and executive presence.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerBI.
Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to build and deliver presentations and weekly report-outs to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across multiple regions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
