Responsibilities
- Apply Thermo Fisher Scientific's or customer's inventory/order management electronic systems for activities such as on-site program replenishments, disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing.
- Handle the pickup of hazardous waste and delivery of inventory packages within a laboratory environment.
- Sustain and maintain stockroom inventory and assist in the registration of chemicals into a chemical database.
- Adhere strictly to work processes as outlined by our written procedures.
- Address customer concerns effectively, aiming for resolution within the established timeframe, and proactively communicate with supervisors about any potential issues.
- Engage in process improvement activities to improve service delivery.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required; a college degree is preferred.
Experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a laboratory setting or services.
- Proven customer service, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, with strong communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills for collaborating with various levels of Thermo Fisher personnel and customers.
- Proficiency in operating handheld scanners and performing data entry functions.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite.
- Capability to work independently at customer sites, sometimes in environments with chemical-based allergens.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 30-40 pounds consistently and occasionally up to 50 pounds, using equipment like pushcarts, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required.
