Job Description
The Sr. Manager, Procurement, PPI Business Partner is leading the implementation of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Continuous Improvement Business System, Practical Process Improvement (PPI), and related supplier development activities in the EM Contract Manufacturing Category (SRM). The role is essential in ensuring smooth procurement execution and standard methods across a range of different projects and supplier relationships. The role will collaborate with a wide range of partners including Suppliers, Procurement, Operations, and more.
This position will be site-based in Budapest, HU!
Job Responsibilities
- Lead/work with functional teams to enhance processes to improve the customer experience and spread an action-based culture and critical metrics, in the areas of customer, finance, people and quality.
- Support the design and implementation of Transformation program and deliver identification and prioritization of activities impacting processes at outstanding levels.
- Coach, mentor, and partner with senior leadership teams and suppliers on driving the culture, approach, expertise, capabilities and behavioral change with improvement.
- Resolve issues and lead critical path processes as it relates to project delivery.
- Detailing and sharing the status and results of the continuous improvement projects.
- Collecting project information and ensure clear communication of the outcome of the meeting (risks, issues, actions, and decisions)
- Lead regular reporting cadence – including leadership reports & presentations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Passion for driving continuous improvement and leading change in a matrixed, global environment.
- Expertise in problem-solving and applying a formal program/process
- Robust Project management skills and capabilities.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Good planning, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or operations, with evidence of leadership, or professional experience.
- Project Management/Continuous Improvement certification.
- 10+-years of experience in leading global programs and project initiatives ranging from process improvements, transitions, regulatory compliance initiatives, and system implementations.
- Self-directed leader who can lead/influence across and up into the organization without direct reporting responsibility
- Knowledge of standard methodologies in global procurement, project management, commercial, and other GBS processes.
- Ability to effectively communicate, influence, and guide leaders/category suppliers to establish a network that can eventually self-sustain PPI
