Staff Project Manager and Scrum Master

We seek an experienced Staff Project Manager and Scrum Master to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a range of complex, high-impact projects with strong organizational leadership and influencing skills. As a Staff Technical Project Manager and Scrum Master, you will work closely with stakeholders, both business and software engineering, and play a crucial role in coaching and guiding the Scrum team(s) to enable meeting the organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
  • Organize sprints, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings
  • Assist with coordinating user story grooming, sprint planning and review, and software demos
  • Help remove impediments
  • Measure project performance and assist with project risk management
  • Report project status, risks, and escalations
  • Work with product owners to help manage backlogs and new project requests
  • Guide and mentor the scrum team to achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
  • Provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams and manage program risks and dependencies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years of combined Scrum Master and People Leadership experience
  • Solid technical background with familiarity or experience in software development, cloud, and web technologies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with geographically dispersed software development teams
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms, Business Applications such as Salesforce.com and SAP
  • Scrum Master certification is a plus
  • PMP certification is a plus
The base cash compensation for this California-based role is below. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for bonus, equity, and a generous benefits package. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location and may vary from the amount listed above. Compensation may be different in other locations.

$159,000$208,872 USD
