Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) encourages applications for an Assistant Director of the Clinical Equity Team. This role will lead a complementary team of licensed mental health professionals in providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health care to CU Boulder students. The team will focus on creating and implementing programs and initiatives that promote clinical equity among our student body.
The Assistant Director of the Clinical Equity Team’s duties will include (1) the provision of high quality clinical mental health services to the student body; (2) serving as a leader on clinical equity issues across CAPS and Health & Wellness with a focus on creating policies that support access and mental health equity for all students; (3) Participating as a member of the Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) Leadership Team (Director, Associate Directors, Assistant Directors) to advise and support daily operations, and (4) providing direct supervision, management, and oversight to the Clinical Equity Team.
CU Boulder CAPS is a training clinic, and as such, this position may provide formal or informal supervision to staff in training, including Post-Master's Social Work Fellows, Psychology Interns, Psychology Practicum Students and/or Psychology Post-Doc Fellows.
This position may also provide after-hours consultation and support, as needed.
This position will collaborate with other campus departments as needed to treat CAPS students and ensure that individual experiences and systemic factors are considered in all assessment, treatment referral, and training services provided.
