Description of Work | This position supervises a group of Community Service Officers, performs administrative duties, and fills the CSO role when necessary. Subordinate officers perform a variety of public safety and community service work that does not require the enforcement authority of a sworn police officer. This position will assign, direct, monitor and evaluate the work of subordinates; conduct field observations; train and advise subordinates; compile and produce statistical and activity reports. This position has a noticeable impact in creating and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.

Minimum Required Qualifications | High School diploma or equivalent plus one year of experience in a security related field. Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, record information, understand and follow verbal and/or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, guide people and provide basic directions, and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing to coordinate schedule to meet hourly limits and department needs. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements. |
