Description of Work
Perform a variety of duties involved in the administration, evaluation, treatment, care, and rehabilitation of student-athletes within the University of Nebraska Athletic Department. The focus of responsibilities will be with the Nebraska Spirit Squad including practice and event coverage, and any required travel. The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. Working with the teams will involve working long hours, nights, weekends, some holidays. Adherence to all NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations will be required.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Professional degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a CAATE accredited program). Two years relevant full-time experience required. Excellent interpersonal communication skills essential. BOC/NATA certification and ability to obtain Nebraska State licensure required. Emergency response certification (CPR, basic life support) required. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years or more experience as full-time certified athletic trainer within NCAA. Previous experience providing treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to student-athletes in a Division 1 program preferred.
