Description of Work
The Creative & Emerging Media department within Nebraska Athletics is responsible for all aspects of social media strategy, social media management, digital content creation and print design. The department is comprised of a full-time staff and student work force looking to amplify recruiting and administrative efforts in elevating the Husker brand while providing general communication to recruits and fans.

The Associate Director – Creative & Emerging Media position is a role responsible for providing creative direction in all aspects of digital media: social media graphics, recruiting graphics, video production and editing, posters, schedule cards, media guide covers, promotional collateral, & more. Creative insight, strategy and execution will be essential to this position and creative oversight for our student staff will be an expectation.

Among our full-time staff and student work force, this position will be asked to provide support in managing select social media channels within Husker Athletics. Management of these accounts is a collaborative effort where critical thinking, high level communication and teamwork is necessary. Ultimately this individual needs to be a strong graphic designer that has experience working with a creative team and excels in the fast-paced environment of college athletics. Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus One (1) year experience in a creative environment with a social media team. Extensive graphic design experience in digital and print applications. Work history will show proficiency in email, word processing, and spreadsheet software. Experience with Adobe creative software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills are necessary. Applicants must supply a strong portfolio of previous work.

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate may have experience working in college athletics, social media marketing experience, and familiarity with managing social media platforms for a team.
