Description of Work
The Lead Community Outreach Facilitator serves as a lead community liaison / program facilitator for Tiwahe Tewichaglapi / Family Acceptance Project happening on the Pine Ridge Reservation and in Rapid City, SD. The Family Acceptance Project seeks to support families in supporting and affirming their 2SLGBTQ+ youth. The person in this position will serve as a lead in both a community liaison and program facilitator roles. Duties include training and supervising the Communuity Outreach Facilitators with the programming to 2SLGBTQ+ youth and/or their caregivers, providing information about the project and connecting it to cultural/spiritual values, giving presentations to community partners, hosting feeds and community events, recruitment and enrollment in research studies, and providing co-leadership on program adaptation and refinement. We seek to hire two lead positions, one on the Pine Ridge Reservation and a lead in Rapid City, SD.

Minimum Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent experience and experience working with (and/or lived experience) with the 2SLGBTQ+ community and tribal communities.Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with supervising others. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, public speaking abilities, and a commitment to bettering the lives of 2SLGBTQ+ Lakota youth.
