The Nebraska Union Operations Manager- 1st shift (7am – 4pm) serves in an integral role assisting with the daily management of Nebraska Union building operations.
In this role, the Nebraska Union Operations Manager will: - Provide daily supervision and management of the Nebraska Union Welcome Desk, Selleck Conference Services Desk, and the Housing and Dining Information Desk, and student staff who each provide essential front-facing customer service and support to building users.
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer service, guest relations, and provides supplemental support for event space setups and teardowns, and serves in a support role for building-wide emergency response.
- Assist the Associate Director with essential operations tasks and processes to include building security, access, and key system management, work order submission, and inventory management.
- Assist with events in all Student Life facilities as needed.
This position will be required to work home football game days in coordination with the 2nd shift Operations Manager and the East Union Operations Manager on a rotating basis, ensuring seamless support to the Nebraska Unions Operations. This positions is considered essential.

Minimum Required Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing or related field. 2 years of experience working with facilities management or event management. Must have 2 years progressive supervisory experience. Experience in fiscal management, human resource development, office/administrative management, basic audio/visual skills, risk management/safety or strategic planning. |
