Description of Work | This position will serve as the primary IT support contact for personnel in Varner Hall, as well as IT support for public, donor and special events which are critical to the University’s image and reputation. This individual will play a critical role in supporting Board of Regents, Commencement, presidential and chancellor speaking engagements, grant-award ceremonies, etc. Provides and manages the planning and coordination for University Academic and internal and external Facility Rental events in designated areas of responsibility, which may include customer support, AV/IT support, videoconferencing, sound system, meeting support and production. This person will be required to work nights and weekends as dictated by the events schedule on a regular basis. Strong client relationship and relationship management skills.

Minimum Required Qualifications | Required Qualifications Two years of post-secondary education Three years of experience supporting IT and AV technologies in a professional or University setting Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows and/or Apple MacOS operating systems, software application administration and hardware Experience with direct customer support Equivalent combination of education, experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. |
