Description of Work | This highly collaborative IT Project Manager role leads and manages technology projects across the University of Nebraska with a high degree of accountability. An excellent listener, great communicator, and highly-adaptive individual, this role will excel in fostering strong relationships across departments, understanding diverse needs, and ensuring successful project outcomes that align with broader institutional goals. This position is responsible for coordinating stakeholders, technical teams and ITS managers to ensure successful, timely and complete implementation of ITS projects. This may include initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, organizing and scheduling tasks to fit into overall project management plans. Position will also communicate effectively with project team and project stakeholders. Position works as part of the IT Strategy Team, who plays a key role in helping to shape and manage the overall IT change management practices across NU ITS and with key partners at NU.

Minimum Required Qualifications | Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Three years experience in IT or project management preferably within an academic or higher education setting. Experience leading significant projects or change management initiatives Understanding of project management methodologies and project management tools and software Equivalent combination of education, experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. |
Preferred Qualifications | Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree and/or additional coursework in Project Management preferred.
