Summary:
Vaxcyte is seeking a Resource Manager to be responsible for overseeing the allocation and management of resources across multiple projects and teams. This role involves strategic planning, resource forecasting, and ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently to meet project goals and deadlines. The Resource Manager will work closely with Project Managers, department heads, and other stakeholders to ensure that resources are aligned with the organization's objectives. This role requires previous initial implementation of resource management practices and experience with Clarity PPM software.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement resource management strategies to optimize resource allocation and utilization.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and department heads to understand resource needs and project requirements.
  • Monitor and track resource availability, capacity, and utilization across multiple projects.
  • Conduct resource forecasting and planning to ensure that future resource needs are met.
  • Identify and resolve resource conflicts and bottlenecks to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain a comprehensive resource database and ensure that resource information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on resource status, utilization, and availability to senior management.
  • Develop and implement processes and tools to improve resource management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Mentor and coach other team members on resource management best practices.
  • Lead the initial implementation of resource management practices within the organization.
  • Utilize Clarity PPM software for resource management and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in resource management or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of resource management principles and best practices.
  • Previous experience using the Clarity PPM tool for resource management.
  • Proven experience in starting up and implementing resource management practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Reports to: Senior Director, Business Process Excellence
Location: San Carlos, CA
Compensation:
The compensation package will be competitive and includes comprehensive benefits and an equity component.
Salary Range: $143,500 – $167,000 (SF Bay Area). Salary ranges for non-California locations may vary.
