The Vertex Internship Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry. Job Summary:

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) topics have become a focal point of governments, media, investors, patients, and employees alike. As a member of Vertex’s ESG and Corporate Responsibility (CR) team, the ESG intern will help research and advance key projects to support Vertex’s ESG ambitions. The intern's work will span across multiple subject areas, including but not limited to environmental sustainability, drug access in low- and middle-income countries, and ESG reporting. The wide scope of the role will allow the intern to gain experience and exposure to a variety of functional areas across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Potential assignments include:

• Benchmarking industry peer companies regarding ESG efforts, including positions taken on select ESG topics, and providing recommendations when appropriate
• Track current and emerging global ESG regulations, standards, and reporting frameworks
• Assist with the development and entry of Vertex’s annual CDP submissions
• Prepare presentation decks to support key meetings

Qualifications:

Graduate or Legal students with interest in health / medicine / policy.

Excellent research skills. Organized, efficient, clear communication and writing style. Creative.
