Our enterprise-wide data science, data engineering and product team seeks a data scientist with expertise in manufacturing data analytics, statistics, and machine learning, combined with a passion for solving business challenges through data-driven solutions. You will work on a highly collaborative, centralized team of data scientists, engineers, and strategists to deliver analytical insights and data products that drive value and impact for our highest priority business needs. You’ll work side-by-side with internal partners across development, clinical, commercial, manufacturing operations, and general and administrative areas to develop creative solutions that contribute meaningfully to our business and patients.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a centralized team of data scientists/engineers/strategists and cross-functional partners to conceptualize, develop, and deploy data science solutions for highest priority business problems and to design and execute A/B tests to quantify the value of these solutions
- Be the primary technical lead focused on creative use of diverse data sources to solve business problems, such as manufacturing batch record data, process characterization data, Quality Control data, Quality Assurance data, and supply chain data
- Build and deliver compelling data visualizations and outputs to communicate findings to technical collaborators, non-technical audiences, and business leaders
- Participate in the broader data science community to stay current with methodology, software, and data development and availability

Knowledge & Skills:
- Domain knowledge in biopharmaceutical manufacturing data, supply chain data, and/or related data sources
- Expertise in programming languages (e.g. Python, R, SQL, JavaScript), version control, and other data science related tools (e.g. AWS, dbt)
- Extensive experience with statistical/analytical methodologies and machine learning algorithms (e.g. classification, regression, clustering, feature selection/engineering, deep learning, time-series analysis, network analysis, hypothesis testing)
- Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical staff in a fast-paced environment to come up with solutions/algorithms and create working prototypes
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to present findings to non-technical audiences with effective data visualization approaches
- Knowledge of the biopharma or healthcare industry preferred
Education & Experience:
- PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Clinical/Biomedical Informatics or a related computational and quantitative discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree (computational/quantitative field of study) and 5+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with various cross-functional collaborators and stakeholders across the company
- Experience with LLM prompt engineering and familiarity with creating LLM-based solutions and architectures such as retrieval-augmented generation preferred
- Experience with developing advanced data visualizations and dashboards (e.g. Dash, Streamlit, R Shiny and front-end frameworks such as Flask and Angular) in business settings is a plus
- Experience with Operations Research and manufacturing for biologics preferred

1. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2. On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
