Job Description

This structured trainee program is designed for high-potential candidates with a strong scientific background who aspire to become a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the pharmaceutical industry. The program provides hands-on experience and specialized training in scientific and product expertise, medical strategy, access, stakeholder engagement, governance, and business acumen.

Trainees will work closely with cross-functional teams, develop key competencies required for an MSL role, and engage in real-world projects to gain expertise in medical and scientific communication, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), medical governance, market access, and business operations.

Key Deliverables:

  • Develop a project plan for a medical initiative, defining scope, objectives, and execution strategy.
  • Define KPIs and create a performance tracking framework for medical team activities.
  • Contribute to the Country Medical Plan, proposing strategies for scientific engagement.
  • Deliver a business case presentation on an emerging therapeutic area.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Master’s (MSc), PhD, or equivalent in Pharmacy, Biomedicine, Biological Sciences, Medicine, or related field.
  • Passion for medical affairs and interest in transitioning into an MSL role.
  • Scientific & Analytical Thinking – Ability to interpret clinical and real-world data.
  • Strategic Mindset – Understanding of medical strategy, market access, and HEOR.
  • Strong Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Skills – Ability to engage with HCPs and KOLs.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory) – Ability to present and discuss scientific topics in English.
  • Business & Operational Acumen – Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry landscape.
  • Project Management & KPI Measurement – Ability to plan, execute, and measure impact.
  • Adaptability & Learning Agility – Willingness to embrace new challenges and develop cross-functional skills

1. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
