ENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Director, Solution Architecture is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and overseeing the General & Administrative (G&A) technology architecture vision and implementation. The role will lead our cloud migration and modernization strategy and multi-year plan cross G&A functions, including Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Legal, and Compliance. The Senior Director, Solution Architecture will collaborate with senior leaders, DTE peers, and other key stakeholders across several areas of the business to identify, prioritize and deliver technology solutions in support of their goals and objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with business stakeholders across G&A functions to proactively recommend innovative technologies, solution ideas, and potential business process improvements in pursuit of driving efficiencies and meeting business needs across G&A functions

  • Define our overall solution architecture strategy aligned with business objectives and technology roadmaps

  • Document the G&A technology architecture and maintain this information on an ongoing basis, including reference architecture, data flows, process flows, etc.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation to improve business processes.

  • Act as a trusted advisor for technology decisions, vendor selection, and platform investments

  • Guide the selection of tools, platforms and frameworks to optimize system efficiency

  • Provide technical vision and leadership to drive digital transformation initiatives

  • Oversee the design and full implementation of scalable, secure and high-performing solutions across domains

  • Lead cloud migration and modernization strategies and transformations

  • Ensure seamless integration between G&A systems and other enterprise platforms (The Vertex Data Platform used for data analytics being one example)

  • Work closely with Information Security, Internal Audit and Quality Assurance groups as needed to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and GxP regulations, as well as our DTE system lifecycle and change management requirements

  • Participate as a member of the G&A Technology Leadership Team, driving overall strategy for the team and the DTE organization at Vertex

  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong business acumen in the G&A domain to align technology strategy with business objectives

  • Experience with Enterprise Saas, Cloud Computing, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives

  • Very strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills

  • Proven capabilities in people management and building high-performing teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • B.S. or master’s degree and 10+ years relevant work experience

  • Biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience

  • Strong background in Enterprise and SOX systems and/or business processes

  • Direct experience with GxP regulations and 21 CFR Part 11

  • Hands on experience and/or subject matter expertise with the Oracle Fusion Cloud or SAP S/4 Hana platforms

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
