The Opportunity

This position works out of our Wiesbaden location in the Abbott Diabetes Care - Abbott GmbH. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

Your Tasks:

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing and communication strategies and programs with focus on strategic growth objectives associated with Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), with the ultimate objective to deliver sales and brand equity goals
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the PCP segment, their needs, pain points, preferences, motivations, and the content, channels and marketing programs that build connection and drive engagement and “sponsor” these throughout the Commercial organization
  • Drive capability and execution excellence in Sales Force (e-)detailing strategies, messaging and call flow executions to ensure consistency in communication, achieve message pull though, break prescription barriers to ultimately deliver sales goals, closely collaborating with Commercial Excellence and Sales Training
  • Drive process excellence in Sales Force Enablement and engagement, including coordinating, professionalizing and deploying a drumbeat of regular sales cycle meetings, in close collaboration with Sales and Commercial Excellence teams
  • Lead the development and implementation of omnichannel marketing strategies, programs and tactics, including integrated multi-platform, multi-channel Marketing programs and campaigns, aiming at the acceleration of prescriptions in both called and non called on Primary Care Physician segments
  • Manage relevant Health Care Agencies and budget to ensure delivery of projects on time and in quality
  • Own in-market success of PCP collateral and campaigns to change script/recommendation behavior, including tracking and gathering stakeholder feedback, with market research colleagues where necessary, and adapt programs and tactics as required
  • Actively participate as a member of the cross-functional brand team and closely collaborate across the Marketing organization as well as with crossfunctional teams including Sales, Sales Force Training, Commercial Excellence, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, and Medical Affairs

Your Qualification:

  • Post-graduate qualification in Professional Marketing/Medical or MBA
  • Min. 5 years of HCP Marketing experience in a pharmaceutical, RX driven environment working with exposure to various HCP stakeholders, Sales & Agencies
  • Significant experience in working with Primary Care Physicians as well as detailing of RX driven product /scientific concepts for mass adoption
  • Experience with Sales Force steering and trainings/deployments
  • Public speaking experience and fluent in spoken and written English
  • Track record in PCP marketing campaigns development and execution with strong performance and strong Project Management skills
  • Experience with successful (digital) detailing strategies and Sales Force enablement processes/tools
  • Experience with Saleforce.com and/or Veeva CRM or equivalent tools
