Our location in Mumbai (Andheri/BKC) currently has an opportunity for a Software Test Engineer II.

About the team:

Working under limited supervision, perform specialized level software project activities in areas of software testing for medical devices. Exercise appropriate technical judgement in planning, performing and/or coordinating verification work. Work collaboratively to analyze and understand the requirements of the software products and create test designs and automated test scripts specific to those requirements using C# to simulate clinical workflows for Class II, Class III medical devices such as heart monitors, pacemakers, defibrillators by applying knowledge and understanding of medical device testing. Conduct for- mal reviews of test designs and test scripts to comply with Quality Management Systems. Execute tests cases using various in-house and COTS tools.

Main Responsibilities / What will you do?

  • Complete software testing and activities for development user stories within an Agile SDLC process
  • Review System Specifications/Requirements documents, user stories and create verification test cases (based on those requirements) and execute test cases.
  • Investigate and report unexpected events, issues or software bugs. Verify fixes.
  • Perform exploratory testing, system level end to end testing, develop test datasets and execute automation scripts (to ensure application software releases are of high quality)
  • Create verification and validation test plans, test reports, trace matrices and review with relevant stakeholders (development and quality)
  • Working from requirement specifications, develops, maintains, and updates detailed design and interface specifications.
  • Participates in and supports the implementation, development, enhancements, and modifications to software source code, scripts, and procedures.
  • Debugs, troubleshoots, and isolates software problems as well as offers strategic solutions, analysis, and advice regarding identified issues for future development.
  • Writes, updates, or executes test design, test cases, and test procedures (automated, semi-automated, or manual) and analyzes and reports test results.
  • Contributes to and supports gathering, analyzing, and verifying requirements
  • Contributes to and supports root-cause analysis of failures.
  • Supports implementation, enhancements, and modifications to test cases, procedures, scripts, and code.
  • Presents at design reviews; documents and resolves issues as directed.
  • Perform specialized level software project activities in areas such as development, verification, requirements, and/or related areas for medical devices.
  • Analyze and understand requirements and design details and create test designs specific to those requirements.
  • Create manual and automated test scripts using C# to simulate clinical workflows related to Class III and Class II medical Devices such as ICDs, Pacemakers and Heart Monitors. Also, debug / troubleshoot test scripts to ensure development of robust tests. Report, investigate and reproduce application defects.
  • Conduct formal reviews of test designs and test scripts to comply with Quality Management Systems.
  • Execute tests cases using various in-house and COTS tools.

Your experience/ What will you bring?

    • Bachelor's Degree in Software engineering, computer science, or a related engineering field with 4+ years of related experience.
    • Experience with a programming language (C#, Java, C++, C, Python preferred)
    • Experience in writing automated test scripts in C# / Java / other similar programming languages.
    • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
    • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
    • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
      • Experience with automated testing.
        • Experience in Medical Device domain.
