The Opportunity
The Sr. Contract Analyst works out of either our St. Paul, MN location in the Vascular Division. This is a fully onsite role.
Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.
The Sr. Contract Analyst will Develop and maintain a robust process to measure, enforce, and report contract compliance. Analyst has an in depth understanding of business systems, contract structures and complex business issues involving local hospitals, IDNs and GPOs. Analyst has ability to articulate key conclusions resulting from analysis and make recommendations. Attention to detail is required.
What You’ll Work On
- Responsible for compliance rate of contracts that contain performance terms. Works with Customers, Contract Operations Management, the Field Sales Organization, Commercial Legal and cross-functional teams to keep contracts compliant under the terms of the agreement and remedy non-compliance issues.
- Provides formal and informal written and verbal updates to Customers, the Field Sales Organization, Contract Operations Management, Commercial Legal and other cross-functional groups.
- Builds mathematical models & tools to determine payout amounts and track contract performance.
- Reviews sales performance and proactively works with the Field Sales Organization to develop resolution strategies for under-performing contracts.
- Understands internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve processes and services.
- Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best business practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness.
- Manages communication and awareness of contractual obligations with all levels of internal and external customers to include sales reps and hospital representatives.
- Solves complex problems, exercising sound business judgment to make recommendations based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Trains field sales and sales management, and contract operations on procedures as needed. Establishes training protocol and keeps manager apprised of training progress and issues.
- Responsible for conducting contract compliance reviews in a timely and accurate manner.
- Capable of working in a matrixed organization.
- This includes database maintenance, process refinement, MS Excel log updates, and close interaction with field sales & customers.
- Develop and build databases for use in analyzing sales activity, contract activity, compliance, and contract life cycle management.
- Conduct business analysis of large data sets, articulate key conclusions, and provide succinct PowerPoint presentations of analysis to Senior Management.
- Support various internal departments as needed to create databases, and respond to requests for information regarding historical contract information, price points, churn reports or sales data.
- Interact with the field sales force, customers and internal operations (pricing, contracting, finance, and legal.
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively prioritize multiple tasks is essential as well as attention to detail.
- Coordinates price loads by GPO Analysts and Implementation Analysts.
- Work with Business Analysts and Legal on compliance contractual language.
- Analyst also has a critical field support role.
- Create ad hoc sales reports and/or analysis as needed.
- Serve as a resource to the sales force and external customers regarding contract compliance.
Education And Experience You'll Bring
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum 6 years of related work experience with a strong understanding of Contracting and Pricing, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- MS Excel expertise
- Salesforce (Salesforce.com)
- Power BI
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
Preferred Experience
- MBA with minimum of 4 years years of related work experience with a strong understanding of Contracting and Pricing, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
